Course Completions After the Event is Held

Sometimes training events are recorded after they take place. This happens when the training sponsor sends a completion list to the Systems Data and Support Team (SDAS) in Local Training and Development.

What you need before you start

Course information

  • Title: Include the VDSS prefix
  • Description: Short summary of the training
  • Course Provider: Sponsoring organization
  • Target Audience: State employees, local agency employees, or both
  • Course Number: Assigned ID
  • Duration: Length of the course
  • Category: Training category
  • Prerequisites: Required courses (if any)
  • Equivalencies: Courses that count the same on a transcript
  • Access Approval: Indicate if approval is needed
  • Survey Requirements: Post-course evaluation details
  • Optional: Image for the course page

Event information

  • Start and End Date/Time
  • Location
  • Instructor(s)
  • Minimum and Maximum Capacity
  • Enrollment Start and End Dates
  • Waitlist Status

Steps to complete the process

The sponsor sends a list of participants that includes:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Agency

SDAS creates the course and event in the system using the provided information.

SDAS emails learners to share the enrollment deadline and next steps.

After the enrollment deadline passes, SDAS records final course completions.
