We help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of children and adults in licensed settings such as assisted living facilities (ALF), adult day centers (ADC), children’s residential facilities (CRF), and licensed child-placing agencies (LCPA).
Our Division of Licensing Programs (DOLP) team supports both the licensed providers and facilities and the participants, residents, and families they serve. Through inspections and guidance, we partner to ensure the essential health and safety standards for quality care are met.
Adult day centers provide partial day care and supervision to adults who are elderly, infirm, or have disabilities, and who reside elsewhere.
Assisted living facilities are congregate residential settings that provide or coordinate personal and health care, 24-hour supervision, and scheduled or unscheduled assistance for four or more adults who are elderly, infirm, or have disabilities.
Children's residential facilities are facilities or group homes that provide full-time care, protection, and guidance to children separated from families OR independent living services to young adults ages 18–21 transitioning out of foster care.
Licensed child placing agencies are individuals or agencies licensed to place children in foster homes, adoptive homes, or independent living arrangements.
DOLP provides applicants with easy access to required training videos, application forms, and helpful resources needed to apply for licensure. All materials are organized in one place by program type (i.e., Adult Day Centers).
