Neighborhood Assistance Program

Would you like to make a real difference in your community and save money on your state taxes? The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) helps you do both.

How Donors Benefit

NAP gives businesses, trusts and individuals the chance to support approved charities that serve people with low incomes.

  • When you give, you may receive up to 65% of your donation back as a credit on your Virginia state income taxes.
  • Each participating 501(c)(3) charity decides how much of the credit they can offer (up to 65%).
  • Credits are limited, so talk with the charity before donating.

With NAP, your gift goes farther—helping others and helping you.
