Building Profiles in the Virginia Learning Center

In the current VLC system, users cannot enroll themselves. The Systems Data and Support Team creates profiles for: 

  • Community partners 
  • Contractors supporting local agencies 
  • Employees in 120 local departments of social services 

The team also maintains the personnel database to keep it accurate and up to date.

Steps to create a profile

  1. Click Manage. 
  2. Click People. 
  3. Click Create Account. 
  4. Enter a Login ID. 
  5. Enter the Email Address. 
  6. Confirm the email address. 
  7. Enter the First Name. 
  8. Enter the Last Name. 
  9. Select the correct Job Code for the job title. 
  10. Enter the Manager(s). 
  11. Enter the Organization(s). 
  12. Click Create.

Creating profiles carefully ensures learners are correctly tracked and can access the training they need.
