Making child support payments helps meet your child’s needs now and in the future.
The Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE) offers safe and secure ways to make and receive payments, so you can choose what works best for you.

The fastest way to make a payment is online through MyChildSupport.

Military Payments

Pay with your bank account, debit card or credit card in MyChildSupport.

  • There is no fee when you pay from your bank account.
  • A convenience fee applies to debit and credit card payments.
  • To make a payment, you will need your case number or Social Security number (SSN).

Make a payment in MyChildSupport

Use PayPal or Venmo on your smartphone through TouchPay.

  • A convenience fee applies to each transaction.
  • Use your case number when making the payment.

Call 1-877-670-2941 to make a payment using the Virginia MyChildSupport Voice System.

  • Have your case number ready.

Service members can set up direct payments through MyPay.

Pay in Person or by Mail                                                                      

These options allow you to make payments in person or by mail.

Kiosk Payment Locations
MoneyGram
Mail (check or money order)

Pay in person at kiosks around Virginia.

  • A kiosk fee is added to each payment.
  • You will need your case number or Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Payments are limited to $999 per transaction.

Pay at any MoneyGram location.

  • Receive Code: 14659.
  • Provide your case number and name.

Make the check or money order payable to the Treasurer of Virginia.

Write the following on your payment:

  • Full name
  • Case number
  • Last four digits of your Social Security number (SSN)

When Payments Post

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)/Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) payments: Next business day if sent after 4:30 p.m.
  • Checks and money orders: Post the same day they are processed
  • All other payments: Usually post within 2–5 business days

Note: If you have more than one case, the payment will be split across your cases.
