Family Services

The Virginia Department of Social Services works with 120 local departments of social services, as well as faith-based and nonprofit partners, to support children and families across the state. Nearly 13,000 state and local human services professionals are part of this shared effort. Together, they help ensure that Virginians can connect with services and benefits that support safety, stability and well-being.
