Research at VDSS

The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) uses research to understand how our programs are working and how we can make them better.

Our studies and reports help answer questions such as:

  • Who are our programs helping?
  • Are programs working well?
  • Are programs making a real difference in people’s lives?

We share research from the VDSS Office of Research and Planning and from partner agencies. Our goal is simple: use facts and data to improve services for people across Virginia.
