Results of Approved Projects

The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) Institutional Review Board (IRB) makes research findings available to the public, as required by the Code of Virginia § 32.1-162.19(E).

If a study is approved through expedited or full board review, the investigator must submit a summary of findings when the study is complete. These findings are published here.

For Investigators: How to Submit Results

When you share your research results, submit them to the IRB in one of these formats:

  • Full research report or research brief
  • Report abstract (1–2 pages)
  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Published journal article (PDF or link)

Each submission must include:

  • Name of the Author(s)
  • Full title of the study
  • Date of completion, presentation or publication
  • Study Close-Out Form (include IRB Study Number)
