Supervisor List

What this report does

Use this report to make sure every state employee who needs a supervisor has one listed in their COVLC profile.

If a profile does not list a supervisor, it should be deactivated in COVLC. This helps keep records accurate and safe to use.

Before you start

  • Make sure you can sign in to COVLC
  • Set aside time to review and update records carefully

Run the report

  1. Sign in to COVLC
  2. Go to the Administer tab
  3. Select System
  4. Find the Reporting section
  5. Click Reports Console

Find the report

  1. In the search bar, type Organization Listing
  2. Press Enter
  3. Select Organization Listing
  4. Click Select

Set up the report

  1. On the Run Report page, click Select next to Organization
  2. In the new window, type External in the search bar
  3. Select VDSS - Dept of Social Services - External Entities
  4. Close the window

Then:

  1. Check Include sub-organizations
  2. Change Layout to LTD Organization List (shared)

Click Run Report

Review the report

  1. Export the report to Excel
  2. Delete rows 1 through 18
  3. Sort the list by Manager

Take action

  1. Look for employees without a listed manager
  2. Keep a record of these employees
  3. Deactivate their profiles in COVLC
