What this report does
Use this report to make sure every state employee who needs a supervisor has one listed in their COVLC profile.
If a profile does not list a supervisor, it should be deactivated in COVLC. This helps keep records accurate and safe to use.
Before you start
- Make sure you can sign in to COVLC
- Set aside time to review and update records carefully
Run the report
- Sign in to COVLC
- Go to the Administer tab
- Select System
- Find the Reporting section
- Click Reports Console
Find the report
- In the search bar, type Organization Listing
- Press Enter
- Select Organization Listing
- Click Select
Set up the report
- On the Run Report page, click Select next to Organization
- In the new window, type External in the search bar
- Select VDSS - Dept of Social Services - External Entities
- Close the window
Then:
- Check Include sub-organizations
- Change Layout to LTD Organization List (shared)
Click Run Report
Review the report
- Export the report to Excel
- Delete rows 1 through 18
- Sort the list by Manager
Take action
- Look for employees without a listed manager
- Keep a record of these employees
- Deactivate their profiles in COVLC
