Full Employment Program

The Full Employment Program is a subsidized employment program that connects VIEW participants with paid work while giving employers financial support to hire and train job-ready workers.

All participants continue receiving their Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits while earning income from their FEP employer.

This page includes details for both VIEW participants and employers interested in partnering.

What Is FEP?

The Full Employment Program is part of the Virginia Department of Social Services and the Virginia Initiative for Education and Work (VIEW).

It helps participants build work skills, gain experience and move toward financial independence.

What is subsidized employment?

It means employers receive funding that helps cover part of a participant’s wages and employment costs. Organizations of any size—public, private or nonprofit—can participate.
