Information Security and Risk Management helps protect the systems, data and digital services used by the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS).

What we do

  • Classifying systems and data based on sensitivity
  • Providing security and privacy awareness training
  • Putting safeguards in place to prevent, detect and respond to security risks
  • Supporting the response to security incidents
  • Coordinating with the Virginia Information Technologies Agency
  • Maintaining the agency continuity plan
