The Virginia Child Protection Accountability System (System) has collected and made available to the public data on the response to reported cases of child abuse and neglect in the Commonwealth since 2009 in one form or another. The data has been sourced from the following agencies: Virginia Department of Social Services, Virginia State Police, Virginia Circuit Courts, Virginia Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts, and the Virginia Criminal Sentencing Commission. The other pages of this website display this data from 2013 (fiscal year July 1 - June 30) and beyond, whereas this page presents the historical versions of these reports from 2009 (fiscal year) - 2012 (fiscal year). You can download and view this historical data by year below.
